one of my favourite numbers is long

Lo and behold I spilt coffee on my cordless mouse last night and the clicker button stopped working. So, I've become very adapt over the last hour (not really) at using the keyboard to do my stuff (which was a bit tricky getting to news articles I wanted to read and checking e-mail). I just gave it a good shake and it's come unstuck from the dried coffee it must have been glued on. Thank god!! Just another example of how my computer hates me. At least today the pop up adds from my virus weren't porn.

My work yesterday asked me if I could possibly change the days off which I've asked for to go to S's wedding. Unfortunately for them they are all in one of the busiest weeks of the year (supposedly). I had to call the travel agency from the office (I'm assuming so they could make sure I tried) and ask them if there were any earlier flights back. To no avail....so I still get to have the huge 7 work days off (only 2 of which are paid). I thought for a few minutes that they were going to fire me if I didn't change it, but they said that they would sort it all out. There would have been hell to pay if they tried because I'd already given my notice earlier in the year...I was going to just quit and stay in Oz after the wedding but they begged me to stay and told me I could take that time off!

Anyway, that's my bitch of the day. Can't wait to finish though. Poor J's still got another 5 months! And she's got plenty to bitch about!

I don't like titles

G'day and welcome all! I thought, seeing as I'm a horrible communicator, this would be a great way for all of you to start hearing from me! I've had the internet hooked up here for nearly 6 months, yet this is the first time in 4 months that it's been working. Computers don't like me very much. It's lovely and chilly here in Tokyo. We had snow the other night and it was just beautiful...it had all pretty much melted by morning but I was awake in the early hours of the morning so had a lovely time of it. I'm finishing work in 2 months and then I'm not sure what's happening. Have been thinking about:
  • staying on and finding another job
  • travelling through Europe then heading home, or
  • getting a working visa for either France or Italy

Can't wait 'till S's wedding in April. I'm going home for that. Just for 10 days though, not long enough!
